England VS Wales

England beat Wales in a comftable 2-0 win at the melenium stadium in Cardif. England opened the scoring after Young was tripped by James Colins in the penalty area to conced a penalty which Frank Lampard scored. Darren Bent scored after 14 minutes to put England 2-0 up and fully in control of the game. Wales improved after the break but still failed to get a shot on target.

Bale to miss England game

Spurs and Wales left midfeileder Garth Bale will be out for the Euro cup qualifiers. Bale is thaught to be one of the best players in the world and his presence in the Wales squad is a vital one. with bale out the captince will fall to Arsenal Midfeileder Aarron Ramsey.

Wojciech Szczesny Injury

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is hopeful of returning from injury before the end of the season.

Szczesny has been out of action sice suffering a finger injury in the Champions League defeat to Barcelona earlier this month.

The injury was expected to sideline Szczesny for up to six weeks, forcing Arsenal into making an emergancy loan which brought Jens Lehmann Szczesny admits the injury is frustrating for him after establishing himself as No.1 in Arsene Wenger's starting 11.

Man U draw Chelsea

Manchester United and Chelsea have been drawn against each other in the Champions League quarter final.  Spurs have bean drawn against Real Madrid and will hope to put in a good proformance to sea them through to the semi finals. If Spurs win then there will be 2 English teams on the semi final and an English club may be able to win the Champions Leauge final. 

Ferguson not appealing

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has decided not to appeal against his 5 match touchline ban. Ferguson was given a five match bad after his comments to referee Martin Atkinson in Man U's 2-1 defeat against Chelsea. In a post match conversation with journalists Ferguson said he "feared the worst" when he discovered who was reffing the game. The 5 game ban will include Man U's local derby in the FA cup semi final against Manchester City. Ferguson was also fined £30 000 and when he spoke on Friday he said "Its disappointing. Its the only industry you can't tell the truth in."

Djourou out for the season

Arsenal have announced that 24 year old Swiss center back Djourou will miss the test of the season due to a sholder injury. The Swiss FA statred that they belived Djourou would only be out dor around a month, however Arsenal have since said that this is inacurate and the player will see a specilist for surgery. This surgery will rule him out for the rest of the campain which will make the chalange of compeating for the leauge title harder with the loss of one of Arsenals main center backs.

Arsenal out of another competition

Arsenal have bean knoked out of the FA cup with a 2-0 loss against Mancheser United. The resulte comes just after Aresnal being Knoked out of the Champions league and the carling cup. If Arsenal want to win any trophys this season they will now have to win the Premiership. Despite the loss Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has triedto take some positives from the game saying that the loss gives them time to conceentrate on the leauge. Arsnal have now not won a trophy since may 21st, 2005 when they won the FA cup after a penilty shoot out with Manchester United, so after going so long with out winning a competition some fans are saying it is time for Arsene Wenger was saked as manager.
